Piemonte

Piedmonte is located in the foothills of the Alps. The region is famous for its superb wines; Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera and others. A unique region, of natural parks (the Gran Paradiso and Val Grande) and vineyards. It is a region of alpine valleys and mountains. Mountain passes that present a grueling challenge to cyclists in the summer and famous winter sports resorts such as Sestriere and Salice d’ulzio immensely popular with skiers.

The region is also famous for its beautiful lakes and botanical gardens.
